Recently, EUTM MALI conducted two instructor level courses for the Malian Armed Forces at Koulikoro Training Centre, known as the “Factory”, a nickname it has earned all these years when soldiers have been trained in support of the Army of Mali. 

The purpose of the Base Defence Instructor course is to provide Malian officers and non-commissioned officers with the requisite skills and knowledge to educate their own soldiers as to how to correctly establish the security of an isolated position. Furthermore, it provided them with the tactics, techniques, and procedures to defend such a position against attack.
