Bamako, April 23, 2023 – EUTM MALI condemns with consternation the attacks occurred yesterday in Sévaré against civilians, as well as the Malian Armed Forces (FAMa) and MINUSMA camps.

The perpetrators of such an atrocity must be brought to justice. The car bombings that killed and injured so many civilians constituted a coward and immoral attack against every humanitarian principle. EUTM MALI reaffirms its firm commitment to support the Malian society, its authorities and Armed Forces in their fight against terrorism and encourage the Malian population to remain united. It also conveys its deepest condolences to the bereaved families and friends of the victims, and wishes a speedy recovery to the injured.
