Today is Europe Day! Exactly 70 years ago today, the then French Foreign Minister, Robert Schuman, proposed the establishment of the European Coal and Steel Community. This Community is regarded as the cornerstone of the European Union (EU). Today around 430 million people live today in the 27 member states of the EU and over 700 of them are serving in our European Union Training Mission. In Europe and around the world, EU in action! We work for human security towards a safer world! Let us celebrate together! Congratulations EU!
