EUTM MALI 7TH ANNIVERSARY – A JOURNEY INTO THE PAST WITH A VIEW TO THE FUTURE

Today, at the Mission Force Headquarters (MFHQ) in Bamako, we opened a dedicated photo exhibition depicting seven years of the Mission presence in Mali as part of the wider EUTM Mali 7th anniversary celebrations. In this photo exhibition, you can view scenes and images of the Mission reflecting the main activities, alongside exercises and tasks that have formed the backdrop of the Mission’s time in Mali. The display also portrays the very human face of this achievement. It has meant visiting many different places in Mali during these years where more than 15,000 soldiers of the Malian Armed Forces have benefitted from training. These achievements would not have been possible without the effort, courage and commitment of the Malian Armed Forces. They say that photography is an image frozen in time, but for EUTM Mali, this is just a snapshot of what we hope will be the building blocks of a bright future for Mali and the Mission. Your future, our future, remembering ‘Nyumbwari da bè pèe’, unity can do anything!
