29 May EUTM Mali teaches logistic procedures at MaAF DCA barracks.
The European Union Training Mission in Mali (EUTM Mali), together with the Malian Armed Forces (MaAF), has conducted a new Logistic Storekeeper’s Course.
The Education and Training Task Force (ETTF) of EUTM Mali has conducted and executed a two-week course, at the Direction du Commissariat des Armées (DCA) Barracks in Bamako. During the course four trainers of EUTM and two from the MaAF taught 20 trainees from DCA the principles of logistics, and daily storehouse management, including the use of the new shelving provided by the EUTM
The subjects contained in the curricula of this course followed one clear purpose: that each student could develop proficient knowledge and skills to competently work within a MaAF storage facility, including storage and control of spare parts.
The Closing Ceremony was chaired by the Deputy DCA, Lieutenant Colonel Cheick Oumar Doumbia, and the ETTF Commander, Colonel Olazabal (Spain). According to Colonel Olazabal, this course shows how the MaAF is training the specialist of tomorrow. Lieutenant Colonel Doumbia outlined that this training will increase the efficiency and quality of the daily tasks in the storehouses of equipment and materials of the MaAF.
