08 Mar EUTM-Mali have conducted a Logistic Storekeeper’s course for the Malian Armed Forces (MaAF)
The Education and Training Task Force (ETTF) of EUTM MALI has conducted and executed a two-week course where 20 trainees from the Malian Armed Forces (11 DTTA, 2 DGM, 2 Air Force, 2 Garde Nationale, 1 42 RGT, 2 Gendarmerie) were taught the principles of logistics, how to organize and run a storehouse and how to produce and issue the various documents required for an efficient and effective stores operation (e.g. Livre Journal, Fiche de Casier, etc).
The subjects contained in the curricula of this course followed one clear purpose: that each student could develop proficient knowledge and skills to competently work within a MaAF storage facility. This goal was undoubtedly and successfully achieved, using the storehouse at the Signals and Telecommunications Directorate of MaAF (DTTA) in Bamako, as the reference and setting.
This course was possible thanks to the commitment and involvement of the EUTM Mali trainers and the interest and learning capabilities provided by the MaAF trainees. As expressed by the ETTF Commander, Colonel Olazabal, “we reached our goal working together and delivering a course whereby the students can return to their units with this new knowledge and have an immediate impact”.
EUTM Mali looks forward to further collaboration and cooperation within the logistics area in the future.
