3EME CONSEIL SUPERIEUR DES CENTRES D’OPERATIONS, ACCOMPLISH SUCCESFULLY

EUTM Mali advise the COIA of the Malian Armed Forces (MaAF) staff in order to uniformize operations monitoring and planning procedures.

During four weeks, EUTM Mali advised the MaAF Joint Operational Center (Centre Opérationnel Interarmées – COIA). The purpose of this advisory mission was to consolidate the organization and operating procedures of COIA, as well as to prepare the next legislative elections

16 Malian officers participated in the 3rd High Level Advising of Operations Centers 2018 (Conseil Supérieur des Centre d’Opérations – CSCO), advised by three advisors of the EUTM Advisory Task Force (ATF) and four advisers from Spain and Belgium. At the end of this activity, the COIA achieved the initial operational capability.

As part of this activity, more targeted instructions were issued in the area of operations monitoring and planning tools (eg Reference Tactical Situation – SITACREF), job descriptions and operational procedures.

The desired end state was reached with the finalization of the COIA Procedures Manual Project, which was submitted to the MaAF Deputy Chief of Operations, Brigadier General Cissé by the Mission Force Commander (MFCdr), General Millán.

This 3rd CSCO ended on September 27th. On this occasion, all participants received a Certificate of Attestation honoring their efforts.
